Welcome to my journal, the confidence chronicles! This is where I’ll be sharing updates, challenges, and everything I’m working through in my fitness journey. As a coach myself, this space gives me a chance to reflect on my own progress, celebrate wins, and talk about what I’m focused on right now—whether it’s hitting strength goals, dialing in my nutrition, or finding balance between work and workouts. I’m excited to document this journey and hope it gives you a little insight into what drives me every day!
Reclaiming Accountability and Progress
After 10 months of not having a coach since having to part way from my first coach, I’ve finally found a new coach that gets it. As a coach, it’s tough to find someone who can both challenge and support me without throwing in all the bells and whistles. I prefer simplicity—someone who holds me accountable, sets a clear path, and lets me do what I love: lift.
Why Coaching Matters to Me
When I’ve had a coach in the past, I thrived. The accountability, the structure, the ability to shut my brain off and just trust the process—it’s something I’ve missed. Not having to worry about my own programming has been a relief. Knowing that someone else is invested in my progress makes me want to push harder, not just for myself but for them. I feel like I represent their hard work, so I stay more disciplined with my mobility, nutrition, and overall consistency. I even find myself eating smarter and making better choices because I want to honor the effort my coach has put into me.
If you’re curious, Luke (@Swoledemort) is my new online coach. I like his content, style, humor, and methods. We also both have a beagle not that that was a deciding factor (but it might have helped).
Focused on the Present
With a trip to Hawaii in January, my current goal is to maximize my muscle mass and get lean for the pictures! Here’s what I’m focused on right now:
- Hydration: Drinking 4 30oz Stanleys a day is my aim, but staying on top of this when I’m deep into work or coaching is tough.
- NEAT: I love that my coach isn’t pushing cardio on me (bless him), so I’m keeping my NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis) up by doing more housework and getting extra walks in with my dog.
- Strength Training: 4-5 days a week, lifting heavy is what keeps me grounded. I love the simplicity of just showing up and working through the plan.
- Calories: I’ve always had a sweet tooth, but I’m focused on hitting my calorie goals, especially as the holiday season approaches. Having a coach has helped me stay mindful of this, preparing meals in advance and making room for the occasional treat without going off track.

The Benefits of Letting Go
One of the best things about working with a coach is that I don’t have to constantly rework my own training plans or second-guess my progress. I can focus more on my clients, my content, and my own fitness journey without the mental clutter of wondering if I’m doing enough. Having someone in my corner pushes me to be better.
There’s something refreshing about stepping back from controlling every detail and trusting someone else to guide the process. It’s allowed me to fully focus on my own progress, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.
Looking Ahead
I’m excited for what’s ahead—mentally, physically, and professionally. Balancing my coaching business, clients, and content creation while prioritizing my own fitness has been a challenge, but with this new support system in place, I feel more prepared than ever.
